Your books are a file
Each set of books is one .tally file. Keep it wherever you
like, back it up the way you back up anything else, and open it on
another computer. Nothing is uploaded and there's no account to sign up
for. Open two sets side by side, each in its own window and its own
colour.
Bring in what you have
Import bank statements and exports from other software. Tiny Tally remembers how your CSV columns map, and learns rules like "contains Officeworks → Office supplies" as you go. You can also drop a file on the window.
- OFX
- QBO / QFX
- CSV
- Excel
- IIF
- QuickBooks Online export
Invoices, quotes and bills
Quotes become invoices with one click, credit notes apply to invoices or get refunded, and payments are matched to the cent. Send customer statements and supplier remittance advice. Design your own templates. Invoice under more than one trading name, each with its own logo, payment details and, if you like, its own numbering.
Tax figures, worked out
Pick your country when you make the books and Tiny Tally works out the return for you. You check the figures and copy them into myIR, ATO Online services or your Schedule C.
- Australian BAS
- NZ GST return
- US Schedule C
- US sales tax
Proper accounting underneath
Reconcile against your bank statement, set up recurring transactions, and add journal entries when you need one. A double-entry ledger is built underneath, so your accountant gets a trial balance, a balance sheet and a profit and loss. Every change is logged and can be looked back on.
